Only about 5% of the cat population is white. Apart from that colors like calico, tortoiseshell, orange, black, brown and gray are all derived from two dominant colors: Black and red. These colors can mutate into different shades—black can become chocolate, cinnamon, lilac, blue and fawn. This would definitely make you wonder which are those rare breeds that come under this count.
