We love to hear directly from pet parents and their success stories thanks to Spot Pet Insurance. We share just a handful of the many overwhelmingly positive responses we’ve received from pet parents who’ve signed up for Spot Pet Insurance themselves.
This was the best insurance I could’ve gotten for my pet. Not only was the process easy but to get reimbursed 80% was an amazingly fast and easy process. I will recommend this insurance to all my friends and family already started. Thank you so much.

4 days was all it took. I am a new pet owner and my baby had to go to the Vet. I was worried about the entire submitting a claim process, but it was seamless. I submitted it on a Friday by Wednesday my direct deposit came and Spot covered more than I expected. It was seamless

MY experience was great. Just joined Spot Pet Insurance this year. Had another pet Insurance for years but they out-priced themselves. I was really surprised how fast my claim was processed and how easy it was to receive re-reimbursement through direct deposit.

When I went to the Spot Pet Insurance website, I was surprised at how easy it was to use their quote tool and how quickly I got a quote. Their plans were solid, and I decided on one that worked for my dog. Highly recommend!

The communication and customer service has been amazing. I do all I can to keep my dog healthy but knowing I have great pet insurance gives me peace of mind when an illness happened unexpectedly. Spot was professional and took care of my claim in a very timely manner! Thank you

Like all pet insurance providers, we have exclusions.
All coverage will start on the 15th day after the policy effective date.
No pet insurance provider covers pre-existing conditions, which are conditions that occur before coverage begins or during a waiting period. However, we will no longer consider a condition to be pre-existing if it has been cured and free of symptoms and treatment for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. If a knee or ligament condition occurs before the coverage effective date or during a waiting period, any future ones won’t be covered.
Our plans do not cover elective procedures, such as tail docking, ear cropping, and claw removal.
Our plans do not cover costs associated with breeding or pregnancy.
Coverage for preventive care, like annual wellness exams, vaccines, and screenings, is not included in this plan. You can add preventive care coverage for a little more per month after you select your base plan.

Annual Coverage Limit – The total amount you can be reimbursed over one 12-month policy period.
This limit resets whenever a new policy period begins.
TIP: Pick the highest amount you think you might spend on accidents and illnesses in a year. Raising your coverage limit later will require starting a new plan and make any conditions your pet has had pre-existing.
THE TYPES OF COVERAGE YOU'LL GET
Each type of coverage includes exam fees, diagnostics, and treatment. We even cover the most advanced treatments, like chemotherapy and surgery, and some you may not expect such as acupuncture, so you can follow your vet's recommendations with less worry about cost.
Accidents
Accident coverage will take care of costs for injuries and emergencies related to accidents, like torn ligaments, bite wounds, cuts, broken bones, lodged foreign objects, and toxic ingestions.
Illnesses
With illness coverage, you’ll be reimbursed for the costs of major and minor illnesses, such as cancer, arthritis, hypothyroidism, digestive problems, and UTIs.
Hereditary & Congenital Conditions
This coverage is for the costs of inherited conditions and birth defects that don’t show symptoms until later in your pet’s life, like heart disease, IVDD, eye disorders, and hip dysplasia.
Behavioral Issues
Behavioral issues coverage can help with the costs of vet visits for concerning behaviors that may be related to anxiety or compulsive behavior, like excessive licking, fur pulling, and destruction of the home.
