We’ve been using Spot for our dog for 2 years now and have had a great experience. Spot is fast at processing claims and makes the reimbursement process easy with direct deposit into our bank account. I recommend them if you’re looking for pet insurance.

Spot has been very quick and responsive. I truly thought that pet insurance companies would be a pain to deal with. Spot has been great!! They cover what they say they will. And have not tried to give excuses as to why thay will not
Needed more paperwork, but paid as scheduled.
I thought they were gonna try to weasel out of every dollar, after they asked for complete veterinary records besides just our invoice, but they paid as scheduled once that was submitted by the vet. Relieved and pleased.

What is a Pre-Existing Condition?
Plans provided by Spot do not cover pre-existing conditions.
A pre-existing condition is any injury or illness which occurs or shows symptoms before coverage starts or during a waiting period. A condition is considered pre-existing whether or not it’s been officially diagnosed or treated; all that matters is when it occurred or symptoms first displayed.
However, with pet insurance plans provided by Spot, this doesn’t mean the condition can’t be covered in the future if the condition is curable. An injury or illness that is curable, cured, and free of treatment and symptoms for 180 days will no longer be regarded as pre-existing, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. If a knee or ligament condition occurs before the coverage effective date or during a waiting period, any future ones won’t be covered.
