Polycystic kidney disease is a condition where there is a formation of cysts on the kidney tissue. It is a genetically incurable disease in cats. Kidney failure can result if these sacs become too large and multiply over time, causing the organ to die.

Clinical signs

The symptoms of Polycystic kidney disease are:

  • Your pet may drink more water than usual and even urinate more

  • Blood may be seen in the urine

  • Weakness and lethargy
